WHO WE ARE:
PTG is the Parent Teacher Group. PTG is noncommercial, nonsectarian and nonpartisan and is organized exclusively for charitable, literary and educational purposes. Parents or guardians of all students enrolled in the school, and all faculty and staff are automatically members.
PAC/PTG MISSION:
PTG’s mission is to support the efforts of The Grove School to educate adolescent students in the 7th through 12th grades utilizing the Montessori philosophy and methods of adolescent education. We do this by various means including by fund-raising, community building and organizing school and family activities.
We strengthen the relationships between home and school by promoting, encouraging, and facilitating communications and good relations among parents, teachers, administration, and the community at large.
PAC is the Parent Advisory Committee, the governing body of the Parent Teacher Group.
PAC is an elected, volunteer committee of parents and staff who work hard to serve our school’s mission, long-term growth, health and development.
The PAC functions in two capacities on behalf of parents and the school:
1. To organize the efforts and involvement of parents, and to facilitate communication between parents, staff and the Board of Directors of The Grove School.
2. To serve as a parent advisory committee to the Grove School Board of Directors: Advising the Board on matters of importance and relevance to the school’s overall mission and making recommendations on policy matters.
